Franklin Corner Cafe: The Ultimate Sandwich Destination in Brooklyn

Solid little deli/bodega. Prefect lunch spot for a sizable yet inexpensive sandwich. Our faves are the Chicago, Tasmanian, and Martha. Personal preference: we usually ask for the hot sandwiches to be just heated on the sandwich press instead of being microwaved first like they normally do.

It's been a few years since my last order, but this place has the best sandwiches in the world. I have searched for similar sandwiches across the US with no luck. My order was turkey, muenster, mayo, and jalapenos, hot and pressed. Throw in something carbonated and some Kettle chips? Nirvana. It sounds simple enough to recreate at any other deli in any other city, but no. The "hot and pressed" is key: heat it for a few seconds in the microwave and then put it in the press. Most places does one or the other. If you live nearby, do not take this place for granted.

Who would of thought that such an unassuming storefront would have amazing sandwiches. No need to build your own at this place, their named combinations are extremely good and such a great value.

Great people. They're my local deli. Even more welcoming if you're a fan of inconsistent pricing. All jokes aside, some of the best sandwiches you can get in the neighborhood.

Trusty corner deli with a full array of breakfast & lunch options. Have had a few sandwiches here and just tried a custom breakfast wrap (Turkey bacon, egg whites, cheese & avocado) which was delicious.

The staff is always kind and friendly, the food is delicious. I also love the selection of snacks and food that they have. Most important thing – they are open when nobody else is...

They serve some of the best sandwiches in the hood. I crave them on my late night outs at 3 am way too often. Oh yeah they're open 24/7. I've had the Brooklyn, Dominican, and Cuban sandwiches and they are all so great.

This is greatest place around!!! The people that work there r soooo kind n wonderful. They bring a smile to my face n a warmth to my day n heart when I see them. You can’t go wrong either — the daytime folks r nice AND the night time folks r equally kind n nice n warm. That’s just the owners n workers, I haven’t even mentioned the food yet!!! It’s as if u cooked or prepared it for urself at home. Or like ur mother or aunt or uncle made ur food for u. No joke n no hyperbole here — they make the sandwiches at a level of quality that is as if they were going to sit down n eat it themselves. I eat there many times per week lol n often several times in the same day!!! Take the chicken sandwich...most Delia buy frozen pre fried chicken cutlets from Sysco or other food supplier. Kinda gross. These guys...no way!!!! They marinate the chicken breast (that looks like it’s the highest quality to start with) in some fancy homemade marinade with seasonings of Bangladesh n then they get breaded n fried!!!! So amazingly good!!! Add some bacon n cheese n lettuce n tomato — on a roll with mayo. Forget it!!!! So insanely good n prepared with care n love from start to finish!!!! Perfect at every stage of the process. Do I sound hooked? Do I sound hungry lol? That’s the sandwich for me. Gonna start callin it “The James” lmao. Place is spotless too!!!! They r soooo meticulous n clean n thoughtful in maintaining supreme hygiene n 100000% cleanliness in the food prep / Deli area. Add to all the above — open 24 hours, great prices, great n kind locals from the neighborhood, groceries n snacks n candies n ice cream n bodega items, ATM, Seamless, rare n hard to find drinks n vitamins, great beer selection. Perhaps best of all, a signed photo of David Lynch looks over the whole scene to keep us in line lol. Love, love, love this place!!! A+ 5 Stars :)
